Overall, according to him, there are 2.9 km of road which are delivered with roundabout, signage, barriers and widening the existing road network. He also emphasized that it is proven in practice that in the Region of Thessaly there are continuity, consistency and cooperation. Moreover, according to him, the access both in Agia and the coast of Kissavos is now much easier, faster and safer, with a direct positive impact on the development of tourism. It is also minimized the risk of accidents in the region of Gerakari, which have been observed due to congestion, especially during the summer. During to this difficult period for the country, the elected members of the Prefecture, with projects and planning, are implementing and delivering for use, thanks to the NSRF, projects useful for our region, which use the community resources for the good of the local community and economy, creating and supporting jobs in this way. The purpose of the bypass of Gerakari is the change of the existing alignment of the provincial road network Larissa - Agia, which was passing through the village of Gerakari which had as a result firstly the high risk of accidents, and secondly the traffic congestion, which was observed especially during the summer, due to the huge traffic volume.
